Dear DCA Members,

On behalf of the Denver Concessionaire Association (DCA) Board, we are reaching out to ask for your support in ensuring our collective voice is heard regarding an important initiative at Denver International Airport (DEN).

As part of DEN’s ongoing efforts to support employees, they have partnered with Executives Partnering to Invest in Children (EPIC) to conduct a feasibility study on childcare solutions for badged employees. The Board is requesting that all DCA members lend their voices and support to ensure the feasibility study is prioritized and that our concerns and suggestions are taken into account. To do this, we are asking each of you to assist with the following:

To ensure the study reflects the unique needs and circumstances of concessionaires, we kindly request your assistance in providing the data outlined in the attached DEN Phase 3 Document and Data Request Checklist for Employers, which is attached here as a PDF. The requested information focuses on employee demographics, benefits, and transportation details, which are critical for developing tailored childcare solutions.

As you know, the concessionaire community is the largest group of badge holders at DEN, many of whom are families with young children. Offering a childcare facility could significantly enhance the airport concessionaire employment experience, making it more convenient and family-friendly for our employees. However, before any decisions are made, it is crucial that we, as stakeholders and concessionaires at DEN, share our employee demographic information, as this will play a key role in how such a facility is implemented.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could review the checklist and share the necessary information with Ellen Braun at ellen@coloradoepic.org by February 21st, 2025. Your input will play a vital role in shaping meaningful solutions that benefit both employees and employers.
